Your generous donation makes a direct impact on the lives of our clients like 5-year-old Emery. When Emery began riding at GAIT only a few months ago, her cerebral palsy was causing very poor head control and severe muscle tightness in her legs. This made it difficult for her to participate in physical activities and play time with her twin sister Elyse. Since she has started riding her legs have already loosened up tremendously and she is able to hold her head upright independently, longer and with ease. Her doctor has seen incredible improvement and Emery no longer needs hip surgery because riding is aligning her hips! She looks forwards to her riding lessons and frequently tells people how much it helps her muscles. Her favorite therapeutic activity is holding onto two rings while riding to strengthen her grip muscles. She is now able to participate in more outdoor family activities such as playing at the playground and beach. She and her family love this new found freedom.
